I have served as the Delegate for The Youngworld for the last 3 month's and know that there is a fair amount i could have improved on in that time. If i continue to retain Delegacy i will make sure that in future these area's will be paid special attention and not missed.

Recruitment has been an area where such attention should have been paid. I will work harder in the future to give more time to recruiting myself and to assuring the success of the recruitment office.

The Embassies we have with other region's will also be an area i will focus on. I will continue to hold relation's with embassy requested region's (Those who have sent Embassy requests delined/ accepted or otherwise) and hope to build a stronger relationship with forum visits and regular updates.

I will continue to arrange event's for region wide participation like the recent "Rocking around the Christmas Tree" event and keep the forum as updated as possible.

I strongly believe in the potential of The Youngworld and those nation's which reside within it. In the future i would like to be able to work alongside Senator's and individual Nation's so that i may better understand the need's of the region and cater for them. The Youngworld is still growing and untill we have enough member's to fill the the staffing need for example: Ambassador's, Recruiter's i will continue to try my hardest to fill those shortfall's.

Thankyou.

Good day to you all,

As members and citizens of The YoungWorld, I am asking you to think carefully about what you want from your Delegate, and the goals you want this region, your region, to achieve over the next three months.

As your elected Delegate, I will be looking to increase the population of The YoungWorld, both on NationStates and on the forum. It is my belief that our region can build upon the foundations that have been relayed in the last few months and bring in new people through recruitment.

In the past, one way of bringing in new nations was to merge with other regions, particularly moderately sized regions that did not have their own forum or any established structure. I believe that by appealing to these regions, offering them access to our forum and integration into an active game playing region, we can gain nations who want to be active and participate in Defender missions and in the Warzones, as well as posting on the forum.

As Delegate, I will maintain a close working relationship with our forum administrators to ensure that any and all issues, ideas and grevences are dealt with quickly and effectively.

As Delegate, I will continue to incourage activity on the forum, and particularly role playing and more effective use of the Guilds to generate a healthy rivalry. I also promise to you that when there are enough active members on this forum, that I will bring back The YoungWorld Football League tournement once more.

And of course I will continue to work on creating impressive advertisments for The YoungWorld through our NSWiki pages, Facebook and also in the NS Forum.

Thank you for reading, and I hope that which ever way you vote, you will see your wishes for our region granted.

Looking upon the platforms of my two esteemed fellow candidates, and looking honestly at the schedule that lies ahead of me, I must in honesty say that now is not the time for Scrivneria to seek election as your Delegate of TheYoungWorld. I agree with my colleagues that their ideas are things that must be done to ensure out region's greatness now and in the future. Because I regrettably will not have time to devote to the pursuit of recruitment and embassy building, I must regretfully withdraw from the current election, and will hope to seek election in three months time if my schedule and the will of the People allows it.

Yes i think it is safe to say that both myself and FE are very much aware and focussed on the issue of recruiting and will give it a lot of attention and care if elected.

Don't forget to vote as if the the poll remains tied we may have to conduct a second vote.

As both DS and myself agree on all topics raised so far, there doesn't seem to be any need for debate. However, if people should wish to ask us questions or post specific topics for debate, I am sure we would both be willing to post our responces.

As DS is currently the region Delegate, then she will retain the position for the next term if this vote ends as a tie.

Will my opposition spend the time needed to achieve the regions goals?

I will certainly attempt to log in every day to check recieved messages, send out recruitment messages and check up on our embassies.

As I can access the forum from work, I will continue to post regularly on the forum, run and participate in role plays, and might even get the new TYW Charter finished.

Can I ask what you will do DS to spend more time in TYW, recruiting and role playing than you have been in the last month or so?

It seems I am winning this vote so far... You have some catching up to do DS!

I can see that FE but Alas TYW hasn't had a delegate voted in two consecutive years in a row before and i doubt i will be the first.

I will make an effort to post of the RMB atleast once a day and continue to put new topics in the debate and news forums every 1 to 2 weeks. Ill keep in touch with the embassies and send my puppet nation all around NS!

I am already recruiting every evening and i will try to expand this where i can.

Thats good. While we wait for a reply from GG, I was wondering if we could create a list of other regions that would benifit from a merge with TYW?

in particular, we should look for regions with a few active nations who dont have a forum, or thier forum has been inactive for a long time.

Excelent... *Rubs hands together*

Firstly I would like to thank everyone who bothered to log in and vote... activity here is far lower than we had all been hoping for since this lovely new forum was launched, and I hope you will all look to improving upon that in the next few weeks.

My priorities are all towards increasing the amount of activity on this forum. DS done a wonderful job as delegate to create the forum and in increase the quality and quantity of things to do here, and I want to make sure it is used and enjoyed by as many people as possible. We have some good role plays running at the moment, and plenty of space for more to be created, and if we can get some new members here then we can get the Army going again and take a serious look at those warzones.

Most of all though, I wish to make it clear that I can not achieve anything great as delegate on my own. I need the help of everyone here to achieve the targets I am setting, and I need you all to do your part.

1. It's not difficult for every member here to log in for 5 minutes a day, and post something, even if it just spam.

2. If you are playing NS, please send out some recruitment messages when you get a spare moment to log into the game.

3. If you are participating in a role play on the forum, please try to post at least once a week, or let the other players know that you will be absent.

4. If I give you a task, please try to complete it promptly and report back with updates at regular intervals.

5. If you have any ideas, any at all, please PM them to me, or post them in the forum and we will discuss them. Don't keep ideas to yourself.

6. Have fun... this is only a game, and if you are not enjoying it, please let me know, and we can try to improve.

Thank you for reading.
