TYW Motor Racing
OOC Thread
Please post any questions, notes and other details here.
No race results or In Context information will be posted here. Team details should be posted in the IC thread in the Battlefield...
Click here to go to the IC thread
Just to clarify a few things before questions come pouring in...
ALL information written within this thread should be In Context. OOC comments should only be made as footnotes to a post.
All entered teams will be made up of two drivers in identical cars, with the same colours and normally the same sponsors. (As in F1)
You are welcome to add in a team for each of your other nations if you like, with different colours and drivers for each team.
Cars can be of any open wheel design from F1, A1, F2000 or Indi Car from the last 30 years... it really doesn't affect the results.
Kers, DRS and any other performance enhancements may be mentioned in context if you like that sort of thing... but again, they won't affect the results.
Race tracks must be player designed and customised for their respective nations, however, I won't object if these tracks look identical to RL circuits. I will accept oval tracks, street circuits and normal race tracks... off road dirt tracks will not be accepted.
Pictures of your cars, race tracks, drivers etr are welcomed.
There is a maximum of 20 teams (40 drivers), if more teams enter, nations with more than one team may be required to drop one or more teams to prioritise other nations. All teams will be created equal, however if you are using drivers with a history in previous role plays, please post their history, these details may influence reliability and prevent regular retirements.
In addition, I will add a slight advantage to those who contribute by role playing in context in this thread, thus creating an incentive for players to continue participating... this will affect qualifying positions, based on the quality and quantity of participation.
I will post all standings for all qualifying and races, including retirements of course... But the main action will be left to role playing. Obviously I'd expect drivers who make the podium would give a press statement afterwards too, but that's just my thoughts.
The idea is to keep things simple, fun and fair for everyone, so anyone is welcome to join in, regardless of knowledge or taste in motor sport (or against motor sport!), and you can post as much or as little detail as you wish.
Good luck. _________________
