Assassins is just a name...

It all came about during a role play many years ago... where many of our nations fought against each other in the first great forum war, back when there were hundreds of nations in The YoungWorld..

There were two sides in the war, The YoungWorld Alliance and The Rebellion Alliance. TYW Alliance had a lot of very strong nations, that were stopping weaker nations from having a say, so the weaker nations grouped together and rebelled. The war was devistating. On the forum, a headquarters area was made for both factions to converse, plot and plan during the war, and these stayed long after the role play was finished.

The YoungWorld Alliance had an elete group of their most active nations who became known as 'The Kights of The Golden Light'. The Rebels lost the first war, but a year later they tried again. In this second war, two of the original knights defected to the Rebels side, and they called themselves 'The Assassins'... With the help of these Assassins, the Rebels won the second war, and ever since, all nations in the YoungWorld get an equal opportunity to vote in elections by joining The YoungWorld Senate.

It's your choice which side you choose, the Knights or the Assassins... but first, I recommend that you choose a location on our Region Map.

It should also be noted that the rebranding of groups coincided with a change of forum. At one time there were four guild groups on the forum. Because activity was spread between so many groups, when tyw re-rerlocated to the present forum those other groups went away to promote rivalry.
