The third book in the Temeraire series of novels. Not sure of the title, i'm reading the first three in a one-volume printing. _________________ [ With my seal and blessing -Scrivneria, Grand Master |

I am currently reading Treasure Island - tis a very very good book. Once I have finished that (and I will need to finish it soon), I am going to read the Help in time for the release of the film,

Got done with Soul Catcher a long time ago but haven't read anything yet but I did finally get a book on my wish list which is
The Empress of Farewells: The Story of Charlotte, Empress of Mexico by Prince Michael of Greece
As most of y'all are pretty much aware that I like the Mexican Monarchy (if not my nation's theme should be pretty clear lol). I even have the book called "The Crown of Mexico: Maximilian and His Empress Carlota" by Joan Haslip. |

I am currently reading Between Assassinations, written by Aravind Adiga. I was motivated to read it because I enjoyed his previous book, The White Tiger. It is certainly an enjoyable read. While I would recommend Between Assassinations, I do strongly recommend reading The White Tiger first. It is certainly a book that deserved to win the Man Booker Prize in 2008. |

I am currently reading Fifty Shades of Grey, by EL James.
I am reading this book so that I might stand some chance of understanding the conversations that take place daily in my workplace regarding this book, and the two that follow it. However, I have to admit it is annoying me more and more with each page I read.
For starters, it is written in the first person and in the present tence... a big NO in the world of literature, as I was taught it anyway. Secondly, the author has clearly not researched into many of the topics she writes about. And furthermore, I find the content to be extremely naively written at times... and yet, to my annoyance, I find with no reasonable explanation, that I cannot put this book down. The critically acclaimed risqué scenes, which occur frequently throughout the book seem to be more than enough to keep any open minded person captivated from about page 70 onwards.
Not to be read if you are at all conservative in regard to events that occur in the bedroom, but if you have even an ounce of curiosity, you might learn something new. _________________

Oh no! You're not reading *that* book! I refuse to read it even though most people I know have read the trilogy.
I am reading Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell - tis a good book & another one I would recommend. I began reading it when it first came out but gave up as the size of the book makes it rather cumbersome to carry about. However, downloading it on my kindle has fixed that! |

I love Strange and Norrell, the rain is a door and I shall pass through it.
Anyhow, i just finished reading a lovely book called "the flowering rod" which is an examination of the sacred masculine in history, and suggestions for reclaiming it in the present.
My next pleasure book will be "cold days" when it comes out next tuesday _________________ [ With my seal and blessing -Scrivneria, Grand Master |

Currently reading Twilight. I never read the books but I've seen all the movies. My cousin told me the books are good so I decided to read them and so far book one is good.
Books I will probably read next:
1. The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne
2. Communion: A True Story by Whitley Strieber
3. Legacy by Susan Kay
4. Breaking with Moscow by Arkady N. Shevchenko
5. Czars Russia's Rulers for More Than One Thousand Years by James P. Duffy & Vincent L. Ricci _________________ - Mexihco, Master Herald |

Finally got round to finishing Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. I really need to focus on reading books & not magazines on the commute!
Anyway, I have now moved onto "It's Vintage Darling" which I plan to follow with "Watching the English". Although I think I'd like to re-read "The Great Gatsby" before I see the film.
Mexihco - do you like Russian history? You have a couple of books listed that would suggest so? Or at least their titles kinda do! |

Yes I do like Russian History, I have a few books like Nicolas and Alexander by Robert K. Massie, Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak, Redeye by Richard Allen.
I also like Mexican History, to be more specific, I like the Imperial History. I have a few books based on the Monarchy like: "The Crown of Mexico Maximilian and His Empress Carlota" by Joan Haslip, "The Empress of Farewells The Story of Charlotte, Empress of Mexico" by Prince Michael of Greece, "The Last Prince of the Mexican Empire" by C. M. Mayo.
And I also have all the Dune series books by both Frank Herbert and his son Brian Herbert. I am a fan of their work. _________________ - Mexihco, Master Herald |
