National Issues

The following is a guide to Issues on NationStates.

Every Issue has multiple outcomes, and every Issue you respond to effects the outcome of every other. There are thousands of Issues, and more are added every week, created for you by other nations. You can even create an Issue yourself. You may receive an issue multiple times, while others you may never see as they are deleted after a certain length of time to make way for new ones. The outcome of each Issue has a direct influence on the Category of your nation, it can also changes your nation's biography and the statistics and graphs shown in the Overview. There is no reasonable science or strategy for which ones your nation receives, or how they will effect your nation.

All of your Issue responses should be made depending on what you want your nation to be like, this is a personal preference and there is no right answer. Read the Issues carefully and determine what you want the outcome to be. Most responses will give a boost to either civil rights, economy, political freedoms or a mixture of the three, they will also effect how your economy is divided. However, some of them can give surprising or unusual results.
