Entirely partial observations indicate to me that a new breed of Puritans seek to control the United States. The new thing to "purify" is American society, and this will be accomplished through the elimination of women's reproduction rights and health, and the denial of civil rights to the homosexual population.
Mods, feel free to scrap this one. It's a shameless rage vent. Elsewise, feel free to post! _________________ [ With my seal and blessing -Scrivneria, Grand Master |

Actually I had noticed this as well. National rights for pharmisists to deny women access to contraceptives, even if she has a doctors prescription, if said pharmisist believes she may use the contraceptives to terminate a pregnancy... Sounds rather rediculous to me.
As well as puritans... I've also heard reports that there is a strong and unusually serious third part rising in the US... people are quite seriously voting for America to become a monarchy! The question is, who is the rightful King or Queen of America? _________________

I was unaware of the Monarchist movement! Do you have any links for it? I could use a good laugh. But yes, the religious rights movement is completely out of control. Arizona has legally declared that human life begins two weeks before conception. I'm still trying to puzzle out how that's remotely possible.
I'd actually be really supportive of Ron Paul's run for a third party Libertarian seat, but in this race I think he's more likely to weaken the Obama vote and hand the election to Romney than he is to be elected outright. _________________ [ With my seal and blessing -Scrivneria, Grand Master |

And we don't want that I'm guessing?
Here is a link for info on the Royalist Party of America, laugh away, these guys really look like serious contenders!
As for Arizona's law... if life begins two months before conception, that would mean that every woman in Arizona could technically be considered as having committed murder at the end of every mentration cycle if conception does not occur!
So basically, any woman that doesn't have sex at least once a month is breaking the law from the moment the hit puberty... As good as that idea sounds, I don't think its really practical!!! _________________

Wow..Those royalists are super active. Their last poll from 8 years ago is truly thrilling!
As for keeping Romney out of the Oval Office: he's a representative of both big money, and the new puritanical order (ooh I'm codifying!). So, yes, I'd very much like to see Obama re-elected, preferably with a less milquetoast Democrat majority that would pass a few things rather than let 10% of the population (and about 25% of the Congress) gut the effectiveness from every progressive measure they attempt. We might actually manage to fix anything, ever that way!
Also, I love your analogy for a monthly murder! I think that sounds like a protest waiting to happen.... _________________ [ With my seal and blessing -Scrivneria, Grand Master |

Well I'm sure the Womens Rights movement may have something to say on the matter... I also note that the minimum age of concent in Arizona is 18... so that would mean all girls from puberty to 18 are breaking the law either way regardless... so I expect the childrens rights lot will also get involved... hmmm! _________________
